Just came across this picture on the web, a great looking set with 4 WTC $5 gold coins and a $1 silver eagle, looks great in the show case box. Well look closer its the 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 WTC $5 Gold Coins and a 2001 $1 WTC Silver eagle looks great and I think the 2000 WTC $5 gold coins is very very scares with only 17 coins believed to have been found at ground zero. Looking at it now its a wow is it not ?

In your site, you do not list any 1998 $10 Gold Eagle. However I know of one rated at MS67. Do you have any idea about its value?
Thanks.

First of all if there is a coin from the World Trade center that I do not have listed please send me a picture and I will get it up right away. Second sometimes when coins are very limited like you 1998 MS67 $10 WTC coin they are worth more than a MS69 coin. It is my understanding that the following happent at PCGS when the “money men” made a deal to grade the coins
1. To start with All coins where grade ” Gem Uncirculated”
2. Then coins where graded as MS69, MS68, MS70 and so on
I have seen many coins graded from the World trade center and many MS69 where done fast as some of them are not MS69. Some gem uncirculated should have been MS69.
What I hope is that your MS67 coin has some marks or color difference that made it stand out as a MS67, to me that is a possitive as you want to see on the coin what it has been thought. In the handling from the vault or the heat in the vault. Some damage of the coin in this case is good.
I guess this got a little long so to answer your question about value, if the coin is not seen on Ebay and people are looking for a $10 1998 to complet a series of 1998 WTC coins it could be very valuable if it as marks or toning it could be very valuable. So I could say $800 and up for the coin.
Hope it helps

PS and don’t forget the picture
Thanks for your reply. Here are a pictures of the coin. It’s funny that from some angles you can see a reddish tint clearly, from other angles it’s very subtle.
