1983 1 OZ KRUGERRAND WTC

wtc coin news 1983 1 OZ KRUGERRAND WTC

It does not happen often that I find a coin from the world trade center vault that is not in my collection but today there was one. This 1983 1 oz Krugerrand was not in the collection on this website. Again as with many of the other coins I just know that it has been certified PCGS Ground Zero Recovery coin. But how many are out there of this 1983 gold coins is not certain. The seller on ebay is having at a Buy it now for $1500 but remember with the Krugerrand coins they are not .999 like the US eagles and gold coins they are .917 but still its now a historic coin and its for sale if anybody are out there collecting the South African WTC coins. WTC Collector in South Africa

WTC 0.10 oz 2000WTC 0.25 oz 2000WTC 0.5 oz 2000

If anybody has the missing coin 1oz. 2000 Krugerrand please contact me for Jaco’s E-mail

The 1oz Krugerrands in various dates are available on e-bay from time to time, it is however to every collectors frustration that there is no official population reports supplied by PCGS. This makes it very difficult to guess how many coins are available. Unfortunately I have not come across a year 2000 1oz Krugerrand coin –

The 1/2oz Krugerrands I have only seen with the date 2000, in all my searching the past 3 years I have only come across 6 of the coins, this makes it very difficult to complete a set. I can only guess how many there are available but these are by far the most difficult to find.

The 1/4oz Krugerrands I have also only seen with the date 2000, these are available more frequently and I think thatthey might have a population similar to the 1oz Krugerrands.

The 1/10oz Krugerrands I have only seen with the date 2000, these are also very hard to obtain and if I must take an educated guess I might have come across 10 of these coins.

Now you can see why I say it is a pity I have not come across a 2000 1oz Krugerrand coin.I think that we should try to petition PCGS to see if they do not have any records available – Surely there should have been some records kept either by the selvedge companies or they should have copies of the submission forms? What do you think?

I think that these coins have a very big part to play in history – It is something tangible that can remind you of the day the world changed forever.
