This 1982 Krugerrand  from South Africa was found in the vault under the World Trade Center. The Krugerrand was first minted in 1967 to help South Africa market their gold. The coin is still legal tender in South Africa today. This coin is part of the 1 of 1100 series.

The 1980 Krugerrand 1 oz gold was also found at the world trade center vault. Great looking coin.

The 1975 Gold Krugerrand 1oz of gold found at the world trade center vault. As you can see there where a few of the South African coins at the vault, the WTC Sets 1 of 1100 where made up of only South African coins.

1974 Krugerrand WTC Coin

Here is a 1974 Krugerrand from South Africa found in the vault of the world trade center #4. This the oldest krugerrand I have seen to date. There might come some that are older but have not seen one yet.
